How about Morecambe Winter Gardens for a Museum of Comedy location?

It has past asociations with Thora Hird, is in reasonable condition and owned by an enlightened organisation, Friends of Morecambe Winter Gardens, who are looking for a number of activities to fill it.

Eric Morecambe's statue is just across the road and that area of Morecambe has great regeneration plans involving the Midland Hotel and adjoining seafront.

Is the time right? Are there sufficient collections to form a museum? Who will champion it?
