I took a trip to the city of Preston, only to find that all the road signs said Town Centre...

 

Which is it? a town or a city?

The "Queen's City" is like a small boy who has failed its 11+ and is still in short trousers. Without an awful lot of work there is no way Preston will become the graduate Lancastrians want it to be.
